Elise Hellstern

Hi, I'm Elise and I am from New Orleans. I went to LSU and graduated in Mass Communication. My focus is community involvement and creating brand awareness and recognition for our 19 Sonic Drive-In’s. I am very extroverted and love meeting new people. Growing up, my dad was in the military so my family moved to a new state every three to four years. Because of the frequent moves, I became skilled at meeting new people and maintaining relationships. I truly feel my childhood experiences of moving to new cities helped shape me into the person that I am today. It helped me become comfortable marketing myself, which is why I now enjoy marketing as my profession. My favorite menu item is the Blue Coconut Slush. In my spare time, I enjoy walking my fur baby Walter, playing tennis, and spending time with family and friends.

Micah Atwell

Hi, I’m Micah Atwell. I was born and raised in Louisiana. I am a CompTIA A+ certified IT Technician, and a graduate from Northshore Technical Community College, where I was also the SGA President. I’ve been doing IT for Sonic for over seven months. My favorite menu item is Mozzarella Sticks paired with a Blackberry Slush. One fun fact about myself is I use to be addicted to the hokey pokey, but thankfully, I was able to turn myself around.

Josh Cox

My name is Josh Cox and I am from Orange, Texas. I have two amazing kids, a wife, and two corgis that I love spending time with. I love to hunt and fish in all forms.  Bow fishing is one of my favorite pastimes. I'm a jack of all trades and can pretty much fix anything. I really enjoy troubleshooting a problem and then being able to fix it. I've been blessed to be surrounded by men of various skills and crafts that have helped me learn different trades. I'm grateful for my family and the skills I have to provide for them.

Darrell Montgomery

My name is Darrell Montgomery. I was born, raised, and worked in and around Walker and lived in Livingston Parish most of my life, so my roots run deep. Other than a few years working in the chemical plant industry, I’ve spent most of my life in the construction industry mostly doing HVAC but I have a lot of experience with plumbing, electrical, and building as well. From residential homes, multi-family, and commercial, I’ve always loved repairs and service. Being the Building Maintenance Technician for Sonic is a perfect fit.
I graduated from Walker in 1976 and went to work instead of college. I graduated from ITI for HVAC in 93 and also graduated from Louisiana Addiction Counselor Training Program in 2014. Over the years there has been many other classes and continuing educational training. I love hunting, fishing, spending time riding my Harley Davidson Soft tail motorcycle, and my weekly Bible study . Just being around family and friends is such a joy. But my real joy comes from helping others to recover from addiction. Being in long term recovery myself through a 12 step program, I try to carry the message of hope and recovery to others.

Some of my first memories are of me as a young child sitting on a desk or under the fryer watching my dad, uncle and grandparents work a "lunch run" at a Sonic. It seemed only fitting that I would eventually follow in their footsteps. My first real job in high school was as a carhop at an old Sonic on Florida Boulevard that no longer exists. Through the years I have always "dabbled" in Sonic, doing special summer projects, teaching food safety classes, mystery shopping, and even trying my hand at operating many years ago. After a 16 year career in law enforcement, working in multiple Parish and State agencies, I found my way into the family business that I grew up watching.

Now, as the mom of two boys, I have taken my kids to work with me so many times that they know the ropes. They can walk in a store and give accurate feedback and are pros at critiquing delivery times and service. Perhaps they will follow in the family footsteps as well.

I started my Sonic career almost 33 years ago.  I met my husband who at the time was an owner/operator of the Sonic that I used to visit for lunch.  He was my carhop during every visit.  After we were married, I started working with his sister in the same area that I currently work in now which is the accounting office.

We have two children, both are married, and we have three grandsons that we spoil as much as possible. We enjoy traveling as much as we can.

I have spent my entire life in or around Sonic. On the day I was brought home from the hospital, our Sonic had “WELCOME HOME KAMRYN” on the sign. As a small child, my summers were filled with going to the Sonic with my father and grandparents. While they worked, I would sit at the desk and watch. My very first job in Sonic was working the fountain, then I moved up to skating carhop in my teens. I began working on the office side of Sonic in college. In 2017, I moved to the office staff full time.

In high school, I was a varsity cheerleader, and continued my cheerleading career in college on a full cheer scholarship. After college, I married Ryan, and we have 2 sons, Lukas and Liam, and 2 fur daughters, Willa and Minnie. In my spare time from working, I enjoy spending time with family, crafting, and all things Disney.

Chelsea Sigur

I am Chelsea Sigur. I grew up in Prairieville, LA. At 15 I traded my ballet shoes for roller skates and became a carhop at the local Sonic Drive In. I joined my high schools work program and was able to complete half days at school and enter the workforce. At 18 years old I became the General Manager of that very drive in. I fell in love with running a business and leading a team. At different times I have run three of our drive ins. I use the skills I learned throughout my journey everyday. Today I am an operational support leader at Flavored Operations where I get to do what I love most on a daily basis, train and develop leaders and entrepreneurs! From creating training procedures, implementing food cost and labor tools, to refreshing policy manuals, I have had the incredible opportunity to do it all. I love the Restaurant industry to my core. The fun, fast paced environment keeps me on my toes and wanting more. I have learned to focus on enjoying the journey as the destination is ever changing. I enjoy our customers, team, and all of the crew members I serve as we learn and grow together. Outside of our company, I enjoy reading, traveling, hiking, and meeting new people just like you!

Born in 1953 in the Mississippi Delta near the banks of the Tallahatchie River Tucker was raised by parents with a deep farming background. His dad, TJ retired as a civil servant and built Sonic Drive-In #212, 47 years ago in 1974. Later that year at 21 years old Tucker joined his dad and the two developed dozens of drive-ins during the remaining 70’s through the 80’s. Tucker executed one of the first Area Development Agreements with Sonic Corp and as a licensee he assisted in developing markets in Mississippi, Baton Rouge Louisiana, New Orleans Louisiana, and Jacksonville Florida.

He and Julie Evans Tucker, also from the Delta, married in 2009 and their six children have blessed them with five grandchildren. Other than motorcycling out west each summer they split their time between Baton Rouge and Highlands, North Carolina.

Kristy Myers

My name is Sam Shaddinger and Gonzales is home to me and my Sonic. I started Sonic as a carhop in 2014 and worked my way up to Owner.  I love the Sonic brand and working for a company that cares about both their employees and customers. My favorite thing about my role is the opportunity to lead a group of people and encounter with new ones. In 2022, I became a supervisor over 8 locations! Outside of the drive in I enjoy reading and playing guitar. I work hard because I care about each person that walks (or drives!) into my life. I hope to inspire my team by serving others in the drive in and the community.

My name is Kristy Myers! I have been a part of the Tucker team since 2005. I was hired in 2005 as a fountain worker and then got promoted to Assistant Manager!  In February of 2010 I got to better my success in the company and become a GM.  In 2022, I became supervisor over 8 locations. I have a daughter Kelsey and three fur babies!
